Course Overview
Applied Sport Psychology is a dynamic online course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to enhance athletic performance and mental well-being. Over the course of six weeks, participants will explore key concepts in sport psychology, including the role of a mental performance coach, thinking skills, mental strength and resilience, performance anxiety and pressure, focus and concentration, and achieving the flow state. Through a combination of theoretical foundations, practical exercises, and real-world applications, participants will develop strategies to optimize performance and support athletes in achieving their goals.

- Nic Has worked in sport psychology for over 10 years. He has developed game-changing techniques, founded in his experience in sport and expertise in psychology. Nic’s principles are based on evidence-based neuropsychology and behavioural psychology.
- Nic has work with a number of world class athletes, including Proteas cricketers and coaches, Olympian and Paralympian athletes, international golfers, surfers, squash players, and tennis players. Nic has also worked with a number of institutions such as the Gary Kirsten Cricket Academy, UJ Sport, WP Cricket and Puremotion Golf Academy.
Course Requirements

Other Information
Upon successful completion of the course requirements, including participation in discussions, completion of assignments, and the capstone project, participants will receive a certificate of completion in certified by the IMGCA

After completion of the course you are able to practice and market yourself as a mental performance or mental skills coach. Please note that we always recommend that you register with an official body for ethical protection, although this is not a legally regulated field and registering is not a pre-requisite. This course does not allow you to use the designation “psychologist”.
